Be careful with what you are saying. Be especially careful when talking to people you do not know, because you, just like Minare Koda, might be forced into the radio industry only because of the fact that she was drunk and could not control what she was saying. How will Minare Koda's life change?
Minare Koda is good at what she is doing: she works as a waitress, but she is not suitable for her work and the owner does not like her. However, even at her young age, she does not have many other job prospects, especially if she wants to stay in the city and not to return back home. On top of that, she has also broken up with her boyfriend, yet she cannot forget the guy and wants to get revenge upon the bastard. During a strange series of events, Minare can now become a new radio talent at the regional radio station, and so her life will soon become even stranger.
Samura Hiroaki, the creator of Blade of the Immortal did surprise me with Wave, Listen to Me!. Wave, Listen to Me! is about a real life story; Koda Minare has no ambitions to become a famous radio celebrity - she just wants to earn enough money to stay afloat. She meets new people, new friends, who receive quite good character development, even though most of them are supporting characters and that makes this series that interesting to follow.
All in all, Nami yo Kiitekure is a slice of life for adults. While it is just a real life story that might have happened to someone, it is also very entertaining to follow, because of the great dialogues and funny random scenes. Definitely not something you would want to marathon in one day, but little by little this series is quite enjoyable.
